A pro active ‘hands on’ approach

We believe that it is only in the event of a claim that our clients see the true worth and effectiveness of their insurance programme. As a result, we are always actively involved in the handling and negotiation of our clients’ claims to ensure that they are dealt with quickly, fairly and efficiently, thereby minimising any disruption and inconvenience.

Our role is to represent our clients’ interests and ensure that their claim settlements are fair and equitable. Our clients benefit from the professional relationships and rapport that we have built up over the years with senior claims personnel at insurers and key individuals at major loss adjusters.

In the event of a claim:


	It is important that in the event of a claim, you comply with the specific terms and conditions of your insurance policy and you should familiarise yourself with these
	In the event of an incident occurring which may give rise to a claim, please notify your usual contact at Realty as soon as possible
	If damage has been caused by a criminal or malicious act, ensure that the police are notified as soon as possible and obtain a crime reference number
	If you need to take immediate action to prevent further damage, insurers will usually meet the cost of necessary and reasonable emergency repair work, as long as the original cause is covered by the policy

In the event that you require urgent assistance out of hours, please refer to your policy or claims procedure manual for guidance.

In our initial correspondence, we will gather from you sufficient information to ascertain the likely extent of the claim and whether we need to arrange for a loss adjuster to be appointed.
